"Federal government fines General Motors $35 million for ignition switch recall delays, or about a dollar per life endangered."

That’s what I thought when I heard that!

(via liberalviews)

My car has the recall and I have actually had the car switch off while driving because of the ignition issue. Still not fixed because parts are unavailable and weeks away.

Screen cracks and ice packs. It’s been that kind of week. #tgim?

Seems a little cunty to me…

it’s still a ring…just cheaper…why the hell not….

Booo I told Travis not to spend more than $100 lol

The ring is just a symbol of your marriage, it isn’t the marriage itself. Have a big, fancy, expensive ring will not make your relationship stronger than a $2 ring or no ring at all. Be in it for the partnership and love, not the jewelry and the party.

imagine if you had to wait until you were 21 to drink alcohol

not sure if someone from another country posted this or a very enthusiastic underage drinker

  • Question: Nobody cares about you and your problems. Why don't you just get it over and done with and kill yourself? Stop trying to gain sympathy cause no one gives a fuck. - Anonymous

Oh, um. Woah. Jeez anon, there was no need for that.
You’re wrong though. I know that people care about me. I have a loving family and some of the most amazing people as friends, both online and offline. I have people to turn to when I’m at my lowest, who are willing to help me in any way they can.

If anything, I feel sorry for you. If you can wish death on someone you don’t even know, then that doesn’t say much for how good of a person you are. I can easily assume that you dislike yourself just as much as I dislike myself, which is why you think it’ll make you feel better to be mean to me. You try to make yourself feel better by making others feel worse.

I’m not going to give you that privilege though.

I really do hope that you find happiness in your life soon, and pray that you don’t continue to go around and make others suffer.

YOU FUCKER! DONT SAY THAT TO SOPHIE!!! SUICIDE IS REALLY BAD, MAY I HAVE YOU KNOW! SO BE AN OBNOXIOUS LITTLE SHIT SOMEWHERE ELSE! PLEASE AND thank you. (♯`∧´)

Thank you onfallsgameart ♡ And I agree, suicide is a bad thing, and no one should ever encourage anyone else to carry it out.

I don’t understand people, if you don’t like someone or what they post, don’t follow them or get off tumblr. Why do people feel it necessary to inject such hate and negativity into people’s lives? If you wouldn’t say something straight to someone’s face, don’t post it.

…And if you would say something as awful as that to someone’s face, seek psychological help, you sociopath.

I was standing outside a restaurant today waiting for my food to be ready when an older Indian man in a turban rides by on his bike. Two seconds later, a white guy in a ball cap on his bike rides by and yells at the other man “Hey, where’s your damn helmet?!” In witnessing this hypocrisy and obvious discrimination, I was reminded of the old saying:

"People in glass houses… should shut their racist mouth and put their own damn helmet on."

Everyone on my Facebook is posting pictures of new houses, or new cars, or puppies, or babies, or vacations, and I’m sitting here having worked 50+ hours a week, out of town 5 days out of 7, for the past 5 weeks and for the foreseeable future, bending backwards to get my job done…. And I just keeping thinking….

Where is my fucking puppy?

Can’t wait till he takes Jimmy’s job

I was there tonight cheering for the heat, but by the end of the game (2 OT’s later) I was pretty much wanting the Griffins to win just for Mrazek. He was amazing! Detroit has a really sold talent there.

Today a worker used the words “I have been doing this since before you were born” as an excuse for doing something blatantly dangerous and against regulations. I explained that my age doesn’t change WCB regs or the fact that someone could get hurt. He said its “none of my business” and I corrected him, that indeed as Safety Manager, it is my exclusive business. He threw a fit like a 3 year old and stormed off. And I’m the child here?

I will never understand some people. My job is to watch your back and keep you safe, yet somehow you think I’m just there to screw you over. I’m not power tripping, my ego is firmly in check, I am just trying to get everyone home to their families at the end of the day. Plain and simple. End of story.

Some days, I have the best job in the world. Others, it feels like an un-winnable battle for someone else’s life and wellbeing, and I’m the only one fighting.

Reminder to everyone, especially young workers, that you have the right to a safe workplace. You have both the right and the responsibility to refuse unsafe work. You have the right to know the hazards in your workplace. You have the right to proper training. Know your rights and demand they be upheld! Your employer owes it to you and you owe it to your family.

If you are unsure, ask. If you are uncomfortable, say. If you don’t know, learn. 128 people died in BC in 2013 as the result of a workplace illness or injury. Thousands more were seriously or permanently injured. Know your rights as a worker. Whatever you do for a living, it’s just a job. No matter what you do, do it safely.

(Sorry for the rant.)
